Already know the basics but want more practice before joining regular games? You're in the right place!

Guided Play is designed for players who have completed Mahjong 101 (or have a basic understanding of American Mahjong) and are ready to strengthen their skills through real gameplay. During this 2-hour session, you'll play full games while our instructors circulate throughout the room to answer questions, offer strategy tips, and provide support as needed. We meet you where you’re at!

  • Guided Play is designed for players who know the basics of Mahjong and are ready for more practice. An instructor is available throughout the session to answer questions, clarify rules, and offer coaching while you play.

  • Guided Play is a great fit if you've taken Mahjong 101 (or learned elsewhere) and want more confidence before playing independently or joining a league.

  • Rather than formal instruction, Guided Play focuses on playing real games with support along the way. We'll answer questions, provide reminders, and help with strategy as needed.

  • Not at this time. Our Guided Play sessions are personalized, allowing instructors to provide strategy, defense, and skill-building support based on where each player is in their Mahjong journey.

  • No. We provide all Mahjong sets, racks, current National Mah Jongg League cards, and teaching materials.

  • That's exactly why Guided Play exists! Everyone learns at a different pace, and these sessions are designed to help bridge the gap between your first lesson and independent play.

  • Guided Play is $20 per person and includes two hours of supported gameplay.

  • Many players join one of our monthly leagues after attending a few Guided Play sessions. Leagues are a fun way to continue improving while meeting other players in a welcoming community.Item description
